I'm synchronising blockchain due to replacement of SSD (to 1TB, hurray

. Connection count is about 23-28/32 during sync. I think that some of peers are dropping connection seeing my node is not synchronised.
About 10/32 is always when node has no inbound connections. Even fully synced.
I'm not that deep into BTC nodes setup, but from experience with another coin and its blockchain, in case no inbound connections are allowed, daemon keeps very few outbound connections and does not increase it to limits as it seems to be sufficient to operate. But in case node is exposed to the Internet number of connections is very high mainly as inbound (reaching my limits for node).
My node did not connect any inbound connections until after the node was fully synchronized. Now it hovers around 28-30 in and outbound connections I'm wondering if it leaves the room purposely for node crawlers?
Also wondering if the bitcoind is a version of libbit node because the blockchain size is larger than my normal bitcoin node by at-least 60gigs.
I really love this little machine and its availability because I'm the idiot who usually has to buy things like this on ebay for extremely high prices otherwise i don't get to play with them.
