Central bank digital currency is basically the same exact thing as a traditional currency we use today. It is a digital version of fiat money which is controlled by the bank.. People nowadays do not buy bitcoin because it is digital.They buy it because it is volatile and more people used it as an investment. It also used to purchase anything. Some countries have already started using bitcoin as a medium of exchange. And I think, thats the reason why people keep choosing bitcoin because it is more valuable than CBDC.
