Is there any advise how can I trust that I buy a genuine wallet from them? I contacted safepal both on twitter and their website they are not really clear about it.
My number one advise is that you should not waste your money buying ledger hardware wallets, and I explained it why in my topics Why I wouldn't buy Ledger Nano S ever again and Ledger Nano X Battery Pandemic.
There are many issues with their devices, especially model nono X, model nono S memory is shrinking with every new firmware update, and both models are closed source.
I trust really have to trust any resellers if I can make my own wallet or signing device from general components.

I am personally mostly interested in Safepal S1 , and Cool wallet.
All of them are also closed source wallets, and Safepal is even worse than ledger, they violated GPL licensing, and they are using secret encoding for QR codes that can't be verified, Kraken developers investigated that and concluded that Safepal S1 wallet have serious flaws.
There is a reason why Safepal wallet is very cheap, and I would never use that device for anything.

You don't really need to have any hardware wallet, using separate offline computer would be just fine, but if you really want you can use one of Open Source hardware wallets:

You should use Trezor wallet only with passphrase because it's still not using any secure element, or just make your own signing device hardware wallet with Raspberry Pi Zero or with M5Sticks:
