Well, it's still based on your luck, but the more you try, the higher the chance you can get big wins. The problem with veterans compared to newbie is that they don't have the patience and want to bet high, which in the end will end up busted.
I did even buy cheaper bonus no more than 100k IDR, mostly with 60k IDR with that 2 deposits but of course luck is the key.
IIRC my best during that session playing Startlight is no more than 8x or 800x from the base bet.
