Russia has been working on legalizing bitcoin for the last couple of weeks. They definitely knew what they were doing.

If we're talking about the price though, I don't think it would benefit us a lot. Sure, bitcoin cannot be banned but let's say that the U.S and the EU decides to ban bitcoin just because Russia is using it to avoid their sanctions, I can only imagine what would that do to the price.
