Series 2 2011 BTC 29 were made.. this is a series 2 and should stay unopened imo for future numismatic value
My understanding is there were 487 total Series 2 - 25 BTC coins, which makes them less rare than the 345 total series 1 - 25 BTC coins (referencing the Ahonen encyclopedia here).
However, it seems you're referring to the "load year" of an S2 coin? In that case, then yes, only 29 of the S2 25 BTC coins were loaded in 2011.
That being said, the coin above appears to be loaded in 2012, along with 196 other coins. Do people really care about the load year, though?
Still a beeeeeeautiful coin, and still very rare. Hope it finds a good home.
