Jadeja is also a suitable player for the 6/7 position. The team relies on Jadeja if the top-order players fail. And Jadeja is an enought experienced player. I think Jadeja's fifth position in T0 format is appropriate. He will have the opportunity to prove his worth. However, the position of 6/7 in ODI format is suitable for him
I still think that the team is not using the full potential of Ravindra Jadeja, the way in which he batted today against Sri Lanka took the pressure off from Shreyas Iyer and he should be promoted in situation like these and till now he has not performed to his full potential in Test matches because he is a much better player in the longer version as well according to his domestic record.
I did not expect a late cameo from Dasun Shanaka to take Sri Lanka to 183 runs and after seeing that i expected they had a chance to win the match but India was too good for them even with a huge total.
183 was a good competitive score but poor fielding and lame bowling by the Srilankan side resulted in the loss. Sanju Samson was very agressive yesterday and I think he was a bit unlucky with his dismissal. He and Iyer could have easily ended the match if he was not caught behind. Jadeja is a good player and in my opinion he should not be moved up as India needs players like him down the order. Series won by the Indian side now expecting a complete whitewash.
