You may think that these sort of discussions are initiated only among fringe groups with no parliament representations. But that is not true. When India was facing Pakistan during the T20 World Cup in the UAE, one of the major regional parties (Shiv Sena) actually asked the government and the BCCI to pull out of the tournament, so that India doesn't need to play against Pakistan. And incidentally this is the same political party which once dug up the cricket pitch in order to prevent a India vs Pakistan test match.
Shiv Sena always have hard stance on relationship with Pakistan even the death of there leader Bal Thackeray have no effect on there hard line stance. I don't see that sort of pressure from Pakistan side. Ever since BCCI became member of big 3 they are not playing with Pakistan to prove there supremacy and not allowing Pakistani to participate in IPL.
