Not true, support from the people and services are key. There are so many innovative alt currencies that are better than Bitcoin yet Bitcoin still trumps all.
You need to kick back and stop trying to rush things, most of the newbies seem to think they will get rich in a short time frame.
Agree, merchants are key. I keep emailing some to try and get them to take Mintcoin.
