Yes, Bitcoin is the father of all cryptocurrencies, but the potential of altcoins is huge, and the risks are also great. Investing in some altcoins with value and low risk, Bitcoin can choose to hold for a long time.
For security I prefer to divide investments, and my biggest portion right now is altcoins which is more than 85% and bitcoin only 15%, this is because I think that bitcoin is very suitable and safer if we hold it long term, while altcoins are for short term so when I have a big profit then immediately switch to bitcoin.
