in my opinion the best altcoin to mine with cpu remains monero even if with the current cost of energy if you do not have solar panels you mine at a loss
The problem with Monero is that it's not a CPU-only coin. There are many GPUs on the network, which makes it almost impossible to mine XMR with average CPUs. I'd prefer a CPU-only coin since it's much easier to mine on low-energy devices like the Raspberry Pi and smartphones. Considering that most cryptocurrencies are PoS, I guess that I'm out of luck. Developers who want their coin to be mined only by CPUs must constantly change the PoW algorithm to keep out ASICs (and GPUs) for good. Otherwise, ASICs and GPUs will continue to dominate the market leaving the "little guy" out of the system.
That said, I'm still on the hunt for the best and most profitable CPU-mineable coin for 2022. If anyone knows about such a coin, please let me know. I'd appreciate your help with this. Thanks!
