Previously Roman Abramovich had said that the proceeds from the sale would go entirely to the victims of the war in Ukraine, but after that the British government made a very unfair decision for Chelsea by freezing all income. In fact, Roman Abramovich himself will not receive money from the sale, but why does the British government seem to strongly condemn Chelsea from the war that took place there. It was a very unfair decision because Chelsea is only a football club and not a supplier of weapons, such a decision will certainly greatly disrupt Chelsea's future performance in both the EPL and UCL.
Indeed, if the realm of football has been entered by very vulnerable things like this, it will be very difficult. How this sanction should not be imposed, however independent the world of football is to unite to compete with each other. Somehow the continuation of sanctions against Chelsea will greatly affect the stability of Chelsea in all Leagues. England in addition to giving punishment, it is also a form of rejecting what the country is doing, but if it goes this far, I think it's too much.
This is if indeed when politics is mixed with sports then indeed this will not be true and is very difficult to accept by reason.
This is clearly something that is not fair, especially if the reason for selling is for the victims there of course this will be very helpful.
It's like classifying that all forms related to Russia are evil, in this case I think who is evil now
No guys, you got this wrong if I understand it correctly. Abramovich did NOT say that the
proceeds will be forwarded to the victims of the war, but any
profits from the sale that he might make. In essence, it is quite up to him when it comes to accounting and calculating his investment + expenditures and some potential profit from the sale. He could walk away with zero losses despite being sanctioned. If the full proceeds were to be forwarded to victims, I believe it would be ok. But if it's only the profits, it is just cheap trick to escape sanctions. The oligarchs who benefitted from Putin all their lives should also now pay the bill. You know, you can still have some calm sleep if you like Abramovich: he won't end up broke even without Chelsea
