No doubt that Bitcointalk is the best forum for altcoins and Bitcoin or Reddit should be better.
I have an account too in altcointalk but I'm never active there anymore.
IMO, this forum is good for discussion of all cryptos, we have also scam busters here that are very useful to avoid being scammed.
