Sometimes it is better to quit
I think the idea of quiters never win and winners never quit has led some persons to early grave. There is no harm in quiting, it is better you quit than trying the wrong way. When you don't know how things work, quit. Quiting does not mean you cannot rejoin, just quit temporarily and acquire some required skills and you can key in again.
He who fights and runs, lives to fight another day and the same is the hero. So, it is good you learn how to do it than doing it wrongly all your life.

I think if someone stop to rejoin again later that' is not quiting, things are not working well for the person, so the person needs to plan well and learn more, add knowledge to areas that has been dragging him/she back not to do better. To me quiting means not planning coming back to continue.
