Yes Sayed bhai mera point of view bhi same he hai regarding crypto currencies or bitcoin one can ask "does bitcoin have intrinsic value?" the short and simper answer will be NO. So how you calculate zakat on something what does not have a intrinsic value?
Well this has been in discussion among many Muslims and scholars still unable to give any "fatwa" regarding Bitcoin/Crypto currencies. Since there is no clear fatwa or any Islamic scholar of any faith now it's upto you what you decide for yourself and this matter will be between you and Allah. and may Allah forgive us for any wrong doing we did knowingly or unknowingly. As a precautionary I will suggest at least give zakat based on your original investment.
I am totally failed to understand what do you mean by intrinsic value and how can you say k we don't give zakat on crypto or give zakat based on original investment?

Mutlab kay agar app 1st ramazan ko calculate kertay hein tu 1st ramadan ko bitcoin, crypto, plot, gold aur silver ki jo bhi value hogi, aus kay mutabiq zakat bunay gii.
regarding property Ma Sha Allah very happy to see we all are aware. I will just add anything under you daily use "jo bhi zeristemal chezin hain" us pe zakat wajib nahi. This includes even gold. For example ap k pass kuch gold hai aur ap daily wear karti hian jese chorian, locket, bracelet any thing, us pe bhi zakat wajib nahi beshak wo nisab se zaida ho. Likan kion k ye bahoot he bahoot he sensitive issue hai aur ham Pakistani ka gold hamisha he investment ki niyat se hota hai tu zahir hia hamin zakat deni paray gi. aur wese bhi hamari aurtain gold ko sambhal sambhal k rakhin thin tu wo kisi sorat daily wear main count nahi ho sakta.
There is a difference of opinion here but I think Gold chayee use mein ho ya na hho, aus p zakat deni perthi hay, bilkay dena chayee.
