In a bear market, altcoins fall faster than Bitcoin (ie Bitcoin dominance recovers somewhat but has to wait for the next bull market to go really high.)
Looks like Altcoins are currently undergoing massive changes in the crypto market, I think right now it is appropriate to do something about Altcoins and also Bitcoin seems promising for the future.
No any significant changes from altcoins if bitcoin dump they dump, if bitcoin pumps they pump, as OP said, in bear market altcoins falls faster and I don't think that such perspective can or would change any time soon, the dominance is what's playing the effect here
