Gambling is just a form of entertainment. Somebody goes out drinking, or to the cinema and someone wants to spin the reels with an excitement of a large win potential.

The only exceptions would be poker professionals (beating low-skilled opponents in the long run) and sharp sports bettors (having an edge on sportsbooks)
