They already said that donations are going to the affected people in Ukraine and if you donate you must donate on the official addresses only so that you are sure that they are legit. Giving items can be the same as giving money because if it goes in the wrong hands, they can re sell the item or use it for their own good but an item is not a currency because a currency is like a money, the one that we use for buying.

Maybe if you can see the people that need help, you will not hesitate donating a currency on them? If only that was possible but for now it isn't because the war in Ukraine is still ongoing. You can wait for the war to calm down before you can go there, if you plan to hand out donations directly.
The fact that Ukraine was capable of sharing their own addresses do make a big amount of difference, the reality is that we are talking about literally sending money directly to treasury of a whole foreign nation. Isn't that just awesome? I mean I get that people could be a bit used to sending money to each other.

But, we are talking about a situation where one nation is in a war, another nation is attacking them, and you are not sending money to like UNICEF or whatever, you are sending money literally to their governmental accounts. That should be big enough news to matter to everyone but for some reason people do not realize how important that is.
