Champions League 2020/2021 season Chelsea managed to beat Real Madrid 2-0 at Stamford Bridge so that Chelsea managed to qualify because at the Santiago Bernabeu they got a 1-1 draw based on head to head in the UCL. This season will look different and it is still difficult to predict who will advance to the semifinals. Even so, I believe Real Madrid will qualify. Chelsea's chance to qualify is still there by not letting Real Madrid dominate possession.

That wasn't a managed win buddy, instead was a convincing one because we outplayed Real Madrid in both legs with Kante dominating the midfield and getting the mad of the match award. Real Madrid scoring Chelsea was due to one brilliant Karim Benzema moment. He's the only one that can cause some kind of issue to our defense. The rest front line of Real Madrid aren't of a threat as we have well experienced players to handle whatever they throw at us.

Chelsea plays a possessive football so we won't be letting Real Madrid dominate the ball, their midfield currently can't match ours. Hopefully Tuchel continues playing Kai havertz instead of playing Lukaku upfront so we can have everyone engage in the play and not having to play one man down. Probably as the game progress, Lukaku gets introduced and get us some finalizing goal to kill the match.
The 2020/2021 season when Chelsea managed to thwart Real Madrid was not luck, but the solid midfield driven by Ngolo Kante made Real Madrid unable to build attacks properly and Ngolo Kante is very worthy of being used as Man of the match at Stamford Bridge and at the Santiago Bernabeu .

In the 2021/2022 season, Chelsea midfield consistency was still good in the Champions League until the last match against Lille, but Real Madrid also had a pretty good midfield with Luca Modric's outstanding performance.

Therefore, the match Chelsea vs Real Madrid which will be played on April 7 is still difficult to predict who will make it through and this match will prove to be a midfield for both teams.
