If you regard the questions as trivial you are are not alone but to some thee questions are anything but trivial... just look at the IQ levels next to the profiles 
I do agree with you there is cultural bias in the questions, they seem to be about all things related to the USA. Here is the one I was forced to search online for in order to post a reply to you:

Yeah, that's the other thing; these questions all seem culturally biased (and trivial). 
Why can't the questions be more along the lines of "Who built Osaka Castle?"?
