I's not going to make shit worth of difference.
If miners go offline (like the did) difficulty drops (like it did) and the remaining miners keep going.

At worst you might have a few weeks of 12 to 15 minute block time till difficulty re-adjusts.

It's how BTC (and crypto in general work).
