The odds can change at any time even it can change after selection and even it can be changed at the time of clicking submit. Many a site has option that if odds change then you have to give permission to place bet. Otherwise bet will not be placed.
I know that, but that's not what I am talking about and that wasn't my question.
In this particular case, OP placed a bet with odds 1.29 on his player. That was a pre-match bet. Once live-betting markets were opened 15 minutes before scheduled match start, the odds on his player had risen to 5.25. OP wants that the odds on his bet that he placed two hours ago at 1.29 be changed to 5.25 and that his winnings are paid according to the higher odds. He says that bookmakers sometimes make such corrections and adjust to the higher odds. That's why I asked if that's a reasonable request to make.
Honestly, since I contacted them before the match started, they had two choices.
1- Void the selection (after admitting the odds were wrong)
2- Honour the correct odds of 5.25
Stake failed to do both and this is why I truly believe that they were waiting to see the outcome of the match before making a decision. Scummy move.
