Signs of such a market can vary, for example:

- Without looking at some charts, most forums chatter goes from bearish to bullish pretty much everywhere.

- increase of buy orders that are pending to be filled asap (Liquidity)

- sometimes you can tell by the high transaction fees, but this one is not so obvious! But what i have noticed is that, Fees tend to go up whenever there is a change in market direction because when ever there is a bull or bear market there is usually a spike in transactions.
