Honestly who is going to take on westbrooks bloated contract? One thing is for sure Lakers will need to sweeten the deal with young players and/or draft capital. No one wants that albatross of a contract on their books. Lakers are gonna get worse before they get better.
Don't underestimate the Law of Attraction regarding Russell Westbrook. There will always be a team that will sign him.
The candidate is Indiana Pacers. Analyzing technically, he is fit on that team. But in return, the Pacers might give up some of their role players although it's still a rumor.We can only wait on the post-season to see some of the shocking trade events and one thing is for sure, Los Angeles Lakers will be again one of the trade headlines as it was necessary. People are always focused on trading Westbrook but not focus on a Lakers player that still got a high salary this season despite being absent the whole season. What a waste of a roster.
There will be always some other teams who are thinking to get Westbrook because he can still produce good numbers if he can be given the role of an Alpha in the team with a good supporting player and not a support role just like he have this season. I know that Westbrook will train more this summer to improve himself because I also do believe that even him cannot believe his average PPG this season.
Yes, that is already expected from the Lakers to be in the trading headlines once again as they really need to rebuild their team and invest in younger players.
