NATO was created to contain the USSR.
Since Russia is the successor of the USSR, NATO began to confront them.
Putin can also be understood,I think he just wants to protect his country.
After all,most of the structure of NATO is controlled by the United States.
If Finland,Sweden and Georgia join NATO,then Putin will not have a barrier between Russia and this coalition.
