no, because some people are not very interested in layer 2 projects. they prefer a completely new network and not using EVM. that's why the price of MATIC has not changed much until now. in contrast to solana, polka-dot, terra, or avalanche which experience a very rapid increase in a short time.
Maybe it won't happen this year but I don't know because it depends on investors and traders. If they see Matic as a good coin to own and trade and there is good sentiment for the coin, the price could surely go up high. But getting to $20 may not be easy because it will require a lot of support from people. But Matic does have a chance to go higher and while it will still take a while to hit $20, I think it will be well worth the wait. So while the price is still around $1, we can increase the number of Matic again and hold it for some time.
