You could also just get the UID by simply clicking on "Profile" and also click "Summary" then you'll see your UID in the URL in your browser which is next to profile;u= then the UID.
Yes, I know about this procedure too but I decided to introduce a new way of doing it also, you can check it out above, though the process might take some (maybe) seconds longer before you arrive at your UID, but then, I think the procedure is still worth knowing, I believe in the saying that "knowing several ways to do one thing is an advantage".
