Try one of the mirror sites... it might just be your Service Provider that are blocking Stake.com traffic. In any way... Stake does allow you to access their site via a VPN, so this is not the end of the road for you.
It can also be that the IP's where the recent DDos attacks are coming from ..are in the range of your IP and that they are blocking that range to mitigate the attacks. Hope you get it sorted out soon...
