Dear IxCoin community,

It's been about 2 months since launched the new IxCoin website: https://ixc.devcoin.org (announced here) and @markm explained the relevance of IXC for the Galactic Millieu (GM) which in turn is a key project for the Devcoin Foundation (DF). As head of such organization I'm concerned about the future of IXC, since it is already an important component of an ecosystem carefully designed by markm and one a valuable type of asset in DF's custody.

What we find currently (and correct me if I'm wrong):

1. No development has been performed since Sept 2015 (only updates to text files)
2. There isn't any form of organization supporting the project
3. The website is outdated (DF is on charge of hosting only)
4. There is only one working exchange, hopefully with some liquidity, yet with low volume

I can't help with number 4, I suck at trading and market making! What I can help with is with 1, 2 and 3. My contributions to the Devcoin project since 2014 vary from reorganizing leadership, community management (recently delegated to @realdantreccia), taking care of main website, maintaining the code base and recently upgrading it from a Bitcoin 0.8.x base to the latest Bitcoin 22.x (and 23.x coming soon), all while holding the weight of an Admiral role (yeah, the one blamed for everything). If you consider that such a background deserve any vote of trust and that I have the potential to make any positive impact for YOUR project, then please let me know your insight here in this forum.

I'm listening.

Of course I support whatever you choose to do with any merge mined currency. IXC will have its day. But Vlad's obnoxious game theory is something I choose to ignore. He's doing a great job turning the flakier types off IXC. I still think Ixcoin matters and merge mining is severely misunderstood. And if you think you understand it still, from my perspective you don't. IXC and I0C are like TBX and FBX, except BTC came before them allegedly, and LTC came after TBX and FBX. In the end I think the math will pay off and compatibility will moved across merge mined chains. If you really wanna get a good grasp on merge mining and the future for chains that have trouble propagating blocks due to running out of chaumian/hash cash minted PoW "coins" (chains of electronic signatures) of which IXC doesn't have many because of its blank blocks (rewards only) we still have to consider at some point there was a hey day here like for all merge mined originals. Bountys of BTC were traded for IXC. Bitcoin gained its value forward for what it was traded for in its growth. We're doing it different until our day comes, but just be patient. The Gamemaster is the master hand. MarkM might see him in the mirror occassionally. The projects that don't update much or have a silent community compared to before is just imo some good game theory. Some chains are right where they need to be, some just need to be pulled into a bitDNS described merkle tree that merges both chains txns into a master merkle hash like Satoshi described merge mining back in 2010. Then we also need to realize projects like Ripple exist on places that by acquisition and FILE storage (which is pretty much the same deal if they come from NNTP servers themselves) extend certain social networks (which will be the next place payments route thru and accrue value) go back to 1980!!! Spoiler alert, Linus Torvalds began Kernel development in school before the WWW and on that very network and system USENET. He would put his code to a newsgroup and people would contribute, and the Kernel was born. Open Source projects and remote work submission is STILL imperfect, like our blockchains, but we could be as simple as 1 LOC from it all working, or 1 merged blockchain that began in separate repositories and can make one big blockchain with all txns necessary valid, hell... What's stopping BITCOIN from adding merge mining Wink A good podcast that's mentioned in... https://www.audacy.com/podcasts/the-sovereign-bitcoin-podcast-with-juan-galt-21792/namecoin-satoshis-second-coin-with-jeremy-rand-2536433
