That is correct. Freiburg has never been played in the Champignons League before. They have played in the Europa League 4 times (twice under the old name UEFA Cup ), but have never gone far. Champignons League would certainly be a great experience for the players and the fans. But I don't think they will go far there.
leipzig are only 1 point away from freiburg and they must win from union if they want to continue to get tickets to the UCL next season. UCL is the competition most coveted by all european clubs and freiburg should be able to secure 1 place for them in the UCL. freiburg vs union : my prediction is 1-0 to win freiburg.
