the government's priority is its people, if cockfighting can bring greater destruction to its people for me it should be banned. if many people fall into poverty because of gambling, then this will also be a problem for the government. speaking the state income is very large in gambling, but the government has to sacrifice the lives of its people. even though there are strict rules made by the government if the people don't care and keep gambling at the expense of everything this will be in vain. the government must take a firm stance against gambling which can have fatal consequences for the economy of its people.
To be clear to you guys, cockfighting is not banned in the PH, only the "
online betting" of cockfights was put to a halt. Maybe many Filipinos lack the discipline on gambling, that is why their life is so messed up right now due to online betting but for now, it is just a hear-say as no statistical data was released on the number of people whose life got messy because of this.
Election time is on the next day so this whole thing might be a setup so opposition candidates can somehow gain sympathy on the people if the government doesn't act on this one but they failed as the seating President is wise and takes the necessary steps to settle the issue, just my two cents.
Its really that in private when it comes to statistics but for sure government does know into those numbers who had been greatly affected with online betting.Any forms of it would really be destructive on someones
lives if they dont really know to put up limitations into their spending or funds then that would really be a big problem of yours.It is really just right that the government would really be making immediate step
or action on stopping in all of these not totally banning cockfight but into its online betting where lots of people do really get involved with this activity.
