Can bitcoins be tracked? ... used to have issues with tainting the bitcoins but current technology has lead to practical ways to trace stolen bitcoins. im not sure what this means for you and me, like what happens if somehow stolen bitcoins land in my hands... but interesting nonetheless.

If the thief stole’s the Bitcoins and send it to his Binance account, then upon requesting Binance you can get the details (ofc you need to prove necessary details).
Moreover this are for certain cases, but guess what 90% of the times Stolen Bitcoins are untraceable.
Moreover there are many thieves present who use mixer to mix the addresses and thereby remain anonymous.
