What happened in Qatar is modern day slavery. It's sad that the cost of this world cup was people's lives. I really can't blame Sepp Blatter because he was only been fair to the Arab nations and in the bid of developing the game in those affiliated countries, the world cup has to be awarded to Qatar. I think the US and most European countries were angry because the world cup didn't favour them this time around.
What he says about not favoring Europe is also somewhat true.

But on the other hand, we also have to see that many moral values that FIFA has been promoting have been put aside. And that is regretful.
It is true that FIFA's idea, without raising the question of money, was to try to make these countries change their attitudes a little. But to do that, they should have been stricter in their demands, and not turn a blind eye to many human rights violations.
