to be honest i don't see this as a positive news at all because it looks like they are trying to advertise themselves so that they can sell their NFT token and make as much money as they can.
How is it not? The fact is, people can now pay using bitcoin, and at the same time them adopting it will give bitcoin more and more legitimacy. That in itself is great news adoption-wise, regardless if they planned on selling NFTs or not.
Sorry to interrupt your conversation, but what BitcoinHolder saying might be true. There is an airlines company Airbaltic that claim they accepts Bitcoin as a payment (
airBaltic - World’s First Airline To Accept Bitcoin). But in fact they never did. In 2019 I had a connection flight in Latvia and tried to buy a ticked, the lady at the cash desk was sitting with huge round eyes, when I tried to explain what is cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. Neither there was an option to pay in crypto when trying to get a ticked online.
Emirates are larger company, and maybe they will really have that option, but as BitcoinHolder said, it might be just a hype.
