Considering how they are basically just ignoring beating each other, lol, it definitely will not change much. For example ATM and Sevilla both got a tie, they could have changed that situation, Sevilla could have won and be above, but they didn't and that is why I am not entirely sure if it would work in this situation.
I agree that there is a limit to something, and Sevilla is maxing out what they can do, they weren't expected to be fourth when the season started, they did amazing, and kudos to them but just because fourth is good for them, doesn't mean that they should have skipped on third which they could have, even second was possible for a while before they started to lose.
I wonder why Sevilla did not do everything to take advantage of their chance to finish second in La Liga. The only explanation I can think of is that they are tired after the whole season. The situation was similar in Barcelona, when they lost the entire series of matches.
Finish second or third is not really different and i don't think the players did big efforts to achieved this, that's my personal opinion and i believe the main occupation for them is to try to win a title in la liga, i wonder how long Barcelona-madrid-atleteco dominance in la liga will last and who will be the first club to break it?
