Metaverse is still a very abstract term used mainly for marketing purposes. Facebook popularized Metaverse because the corporation is looking for a new growth area after Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram are slowly reaching their limits.

If that, Metaverse will only play a role in a few years and by then the coins that now focus on the Metaverse are history anyway. That is why an investment in such coins is still worthwhile in the short term in my opinion.

Especially now that the tech bubble has started to burst.

It was the same with decentralized finance, when the word DeFi was inserted into everything, as long as it corresponded to the interest of the crowd and market trends. Now most of the so-called metaverses are empty shells and clones that sell land at inflated prices on a wave of hype. No one can say for sure whether these prices are justified or not. Investing now in such projects is a very big risk, because if the bear market moves into a new, deeper phase, all these clone projects will die.
