I personally know one case in which the employee went missing and then his GCC employer refused to help. And I have heard about dozens of such cases in my friend circle. And once again, I never said that all the GCC employers are bad. There are hundreds of thousands of individuals (if not millions) in India, who thank the GCC countries for the opportunities that they received. But again, when it comes to human rights, GCC nations (without any exception) doesn't have a good record. The laws are lop-sided to favor the national, in case of any issue arising between the GCC national (employer) and the expat (employee).

As far as I know, those countries are a lot fond of ease. I know that they sometimes refuse to do certain works that are their duty to complete. And they are also a lot of cases where a lot of people try to go to those countries illegally. Because of that, a lot of people get in trouble and fall victim to human trafficking.

To be honest I am not trying to defend which is quite evident for those countries. I am trying to state some facts which are true. I believe what happened with your friend is absolutely horrible and that case should have had a proper explanation. there is no avoiding this fact also.
