Do people really upgrade their server that often? I don't know for altcoin node, but you could get away doing it every few months if i use Bitcoin Core (full node client) and Debian (OS).

I upgrade mine only where there's an actual need to upgrade (vulnerability's, necessary features,...) ... At the moment, i'm running on v0.21.1, which was released little over a year ago.
