Negotiations between Man Utd and Barcelona for Frenkie De Jong transfer is getting harder because price tag 80 millions euro is overpriced for Man Utd and if the negotiations are still deadlocked then Man Utd will withdraw from this transfer and looking for another players but in the other hand although Barcelona ready to sold De Jong but actually Xavi still want him in the team and if he canceled leave Barcelona then Xavi still need him for next season
@bering it makes sense for Manchester United to walk away, because while De Jong is good but he’s definitely not worth 80 million euros. Furthermore if Barcelona can’t off load other player’s then they’ll have to lower their demands, and I think that is what Manchester United board is hoping for and I believe they’re right to wait it out rather than end up paying such a monstrous fee for him.
There are some cases for Manchester United about buying players with an absolutely unreasonable amount of money and after that, the player did not perform to the expectation. That might be another reason why they are waiting things out because they should not rush into any decisions. Barcelona is obviously going to ask for a little more price because they need all the money that they can get. But I obviously think that 80 million euros are just too much for de Jong.
