That's not how crypto works. It will just ruin the whole economy because, to be honest, such a thing couldn't end poverty. There are lots of factors to be considered for us to end poverty and crypto alone couldn't solve that. That could be a temporary solution but the government also has to do its part. Airdrops can't make everybody rich.
But now a days - the things are way beyond having bread on the table. People have needs and wants which can not be easily met.
