The most important point in financial management is being able to strike a balance between expenses and income, most people don't care about the amount of spending so that every month they run a deficit, they do it by borrowing which actually makes finances more difficult, stop spending that is not important.
we have different financial management. there are people who take the money they work hard to fulfill their daily needs without thinking about future needs and there are some people who take the results of their hard work to buy production goods that can generate other income such as buying cars to rent and building shops to rent and so on. etc.
It mostly depend on the mindset of people - here in our country 50% of the community lives below the poverty line and they are only concerned about food on the table and meeting the monthly expense so they can't save and invest. Different community different needs.
I agree with what you say, many people say that saving is the root of being rich, but the fact is that many people actually have mediocre money, not even enough to eat, then how can they save all this time, I think the main problem in many countries right now is the lack of job vacancies for those who are indeed below the poverty line, so if we really want to see a lot of prosperous people of course we have to be able to create decent jobs for them, so that people will have income and set it aside for saving, if only money enough to eat, so what can they save with?
