No doubt, once a gambler become desperate he can do things that un-imaginable, especially if there's already addiction, you can say whatever you want and you can defend yourself trying to prove that you are a responsible gambler, but for how long?
The chance is there that you'll be using the company's resources to support your gambling.
It's best for your boss to transfer you away from the incoming lust that might lead you to do things that you shouldn't do.
This is thinking that the company owner is dumb though. I mean, instances of people stealing from the company funds only happen when the said person has connections enough to bypass all the checks that happen (and I do hope there are checks, since if there weren't then there's definitely something wrong with the company itself) OR he's good enough in the programming techy stuff to cover his tracks (if that's even possible, not really sure). And I honestly think that people with that level of addiction even has work in the first place anyway.
