This just crossed my mind and there's a possibility that this scenario exists in real life

Do You Think It's A Cause Of Concern For Your Employer if he finds out that you are a compulsive gambler and you are working in a department that deals with money, do you think it's right that he transfer you to another department that has nothing to do with money?
It can only be their concern if its on their employee handbook and if I already committed a crime against the company, so as long as I didn’t do anything that violated the rules of the company, I think it should not be their concern. Well, if you are into gambling usually you don’t share that to the people especially to those who can compromise your careers, just do the right thing and you can still have a normal life without that judgement from other people. On the other hand, your employer can really do anything just to protect their own company, if they see irregularities, expect their actions right away.

If they know that you are into gambling, I think, they will always set a precaution when it comes to handling finances.
But in case, your work colleagues don't know that you are into gambling, and you are doing your job as what expected.
And you are complying the rules of the company, then, I think, it is fine to be in that department.
However, the situation changes when they know your vice because even if you say you won't do anything to jeopardize the company's funds,
there will always the doubt that you will do something out of your normal decision because a gambler is very prone to skimming funds.
