Do you believe that a doc can cure gambling addiction? Or a rehabilitation can help? Like I've said, it will be a replacement. Gambler will replace his gambling addition to an addiction to visit rehab. I dont believe in rehabilitation and trust all these rehabilitation centres, because I see, read and notice people visit this places more than once. I've seen numerous stories when people rehabs 2-4 times before they "get cured". Get cured for a time. They just pause gambling addiction.
Doc or rehabilitation can help, but you should know what "help" means here. The final result will always be depending on the gamblers themselves. They key is on ourselves, what they do is just to help us not to get us out from the addiction completely. No matter how many times someone visit this places, but if he/she does not have a serious will to stop, he/she will come back to his/her addiction sooner/later.
That's right, as you said basically help will only have an effect when there is an inner intention to be free from addiction but when there is no intention from within as strong and as much as any doctor and whatever it is that helps the result will remain the same and indeed this will difficult to solve as long as there is no intention there.
It's better to focus first on yourself whether you want to or not to stop because when things like this can really be overcome, eliminating the effects of addiction will be easier
