I think that Real Madrid are going to aim to make the team younger in the near future. It would have been a big step forward for them to bring Mbappe here. They couldn't do anything after he extended his contract with PSG. They would have gone for Haaland as well but Manchester City acted quicker than them. There are still many young and promising players in the transfer market of course but not the majority of them deserve to play for Real Madrid. They will need to pick the right players among them to invest in the future.
Real Madrid's goal was to get Mbappe or Haaland in the squad. However, Haaland has joined Manchester City, and so Real Madrid will not be able to sign Haaland in the next few seasons. Mbappe, on the other hand, is probably not interested in coming to Real Madrid. Real Madrid should find a replacement for Benzema now. Even in the last few seasons, Real Madrid has relied solely on Benzema's performance. If Benzema doesn't play well next season, I don't think Madrid will win any titles.
It is true that Real Madrid are dependent on Benzema now, at least for this season which I see is very dominant. But I'm sure they'll find a replacement for him soon though it may take some time. Their young players are also showing positive things as the progress of building a strong team for the future. We also know that Real Madrid always bring in good players in this team.
