This just crossed my mind and there's a possibility that this scenario exists in real life
Do You Think It's A Cause Of Concern For Your Employer if he finds out that you are a compulsive gambler and you are working in a department that deals with money, do you think it's right that he transfer you to another department that has nothing to do with money?
First of all , if anyone works in a company, it's his right to spend his salary in anyway. He can gamble with his salary , it's his own choice. The employer should have no concerns on it.
Secondly, if he work in a department which deals in money, it's the company money which he should have no access to spend for his personal needs or wishes like gambling. There must be proper check and balance for this.
