This just crossed my mind and there's a possibility that this scenario exists in real life
Do You Think It's A Cause Of Concern For Your Employer if he finds out that you are a compulsive gambler and you are working in a department that deals with money, do you think it's right that he transfer you to another department that has nothing to do with money?
Depends on the position isn't it? I mean if you have any position where you are handling a lot of cash, maybe? But, I have worked in a bunch of companies and I never had any problems with this at all, why would I?
I never had too much money under my control, like maybe couple hundred bucks at most, and my salary was bigger than that, so why would I risk my job and even commit a crime just for something that would be lower than one month's salary? This means, the 99% of the jobs in the world are either digitally controlled when talking about finance, or we are talking about people who do not posses any cash at all, which means there is no worry.
