Creating a Self-moderated threads only to shade free speech or individual views on a two side to a story issue would be fowl play as it hides the truth.
I was going to say that but then OP could be needing a self moderated thread for other reasons apart from censorship. Spamming and trolling are major reasons most thread openers choose self moderation. OP, if your reason is anything like others insinuated then you're in for a big shock because no one will take you seriously; especially if the content of your thread is on money or reputation of another user.
