That happened already, after the introduction of Merit. We're now at 48,000 posts per week, that used to be 280,000 posts per week. It dropped by more than 80%! The crypto bear market might have had something to do with that too, but even in last year's bull markt I think the maximum I've seen was still less than 80,000 posts per week.
