They have to act fast for the transfer market because if they slow down, they could lose the players they want because they lose quickly to other clubs.
Actually they seem to be still after Barcelona's young midfielder Frenkie de Jong recently. However bringing him can cost them incredible amount of money for them too. We are talking about a price like 80 million euros for example. Manchester United still seem to be determined about this transfer though as they really need a player who can play as a defensive midfielder.
Actually quite a lot of players have been linked with Man United in the transfer market, but indeed Man United was more focused on getting
Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona. Erik ten Hag seems to want to find a replacement for Paul Pogba, who is certain to leave Man United this year
after his contract with Man United ended. Frenkie de Jong is expected to replace Pogba in the Man United midfield, and also Erik ten Hag is
very familiar with De Jong's game, because De Jong and Ten Hag worked together when they were at Ajax.
The problem is that Barcelona wants a fairly high transfer fee if Man United is really interested in buying Frankie de Jong. We'll see if Man United
are willing to pay a high enough transfer fee to get Frenkie de Jong. Whereas previously Man United spent quite a lot of money by buying Jadon Sancho
from Dortmund, but Sancho's performance was not as expected. So learn from Sancho's buying mistakes, it seems that Man United will be more
careful when they buy De Jong, if Barcelona asks for a high transfer fee I am sure Man United will withdraw it.
